GUESTS' BOOK

Paris Chamber of Commerce, France
"Received the "Nef d'or" from the Paris Chamber of Commerce for the best renovation of a small Parisian hotel."

The Nouvel Observateur magazine, France
The Nouvel Observateur magazine published a special issue (press articles and not advertising articles) on the most fashionable places in Paris (bars, restaurants, hotels). It only chose 12 hotels in Paris, including ours. It wrote "Near the Eiffel Tower, a hotel with yellow walls, purple or blue curtains. Two stars for charm and discretion: the hotel accepts people wearing jeans and trainers just as well as those dressed in three-piece suits. The best value for money in the district".

Washington Post, United States
"A guest came to the hotel and he had with him a press cutting from the Washington Post. We learnt that there was an article about us in the Washington Post. This is what he wrote about our Hotel (press article): "Few budget hotels exist in this part of town, and even fewer are more eager to please than Cyrille Pien's 28-room Palais de Chaillot, which puts most three-star properties to shame. Why? Well, there's the receptionist who speaks five languages; a sidewalk terrace for breakfast or afternoon drinks; soundproof rooms in sunny Mediterranean colours with huge beds; laundry service; and a food delivery deal with local eateries. Completely remodelled, it has contemporary character with classy 1930s feel".

Another press cutting: Excellent nights in Paris", California, USA
"For up-to-the minute appeal in an area not known for budget anything, look no further than this hotel. Cyrille Pien completely revamped the twenty-eight room hotel, which is nicely situated between the Trocadero and the Champs-Elysées. The results are impressive. And so are the prices. From beginning to end, the hotel is a model of post-modern, casual French chic. To one side is a little summer terrace where breakfast can be served; otherwise, breakfast takes place in a yellow marbleized room with a half-mirrored wall reflecting tables and armchairs. The bright bedrooms combine wicker with bold colours and have flashy bathrooms that include tubs and/or showers with corner shelves for shampoo and soap. For the area, it is impossible to imagine a better value."

Guidebook to the Hotels of charm in Paris, France
Free remarks from the guidebook to the hotels of charm in Paris: The Palais de Chaillot Hotel, renovated down to the very smallest detail, has opened its doors. In the heart of the business district, it is a short walk from the Trocadero and several museums. This is the place for all those who enjoy comfort just as much as simplicity and for all those who believe that a reasonable price does not necessarily exclude a good décor. The rooms have been pleasantly designed, with marine blue carpeting, yellow walls and a white and blue bathroom and mahogany furniture specially designed for the establishment. Many of the rooms overlook the avenue, but if you are not sure about the efficiency of the double-glazing, you can always ask for a room at the rear of the hotel. The ground floor, where breakfast is served, has benefited from the same care and the same decorative style. Everywhere you will see the inspiration of the South, combined with a touch of exoticism."
